Craig Barr Flash Attack Flies

These quality award winning fly selections have been carefully selected by England International angler Craig Barr. A proven selection of flies that simply catch fish.

  • Carp - Ideal for taking carp from the surface.
  • Blobs - Ideal flies for stillwater use for trout.
  • Daddies - The Daddy Longlegs can offer some exciting sport when the fish are on or near the surface. Fish them dry or wet and you'll have fun. Try fishing one on a top dropper with two small nymphs trailing behind it, or simply fish it as a single fly to rising trout.
  • Damsels - These fly patterns catch thousands of trout each year. Best used on floating lines with a slow figure of eight retrieve or a very slow pull.
  • Boobies - This carefully selected pack of boobies will give you a great head start to your fishing trip. Fished slowly along the bottom often brings great results, or fished on a floating line supporting a team of nymphs is also a very productive method of fishing the booby.
  • Dancers - The Dancer is a known fish catcher and produces great results, pulled back slow on a floating line. Its marabou tail and soft hackle gives the fly superb movement, which fish find hard to resist.
  • Hare's Ears - The Hares Ears are one of the most widely used nymphs. Best fished using a floating line with a very slow retrieve and ideally a sideways breeze.
  • Cat's Whiskers - The cat‘s whisker fly will catch fish on any water. From early season to the very end, you don't want to be without them. Best fished on floating lines to slow intermediates with a slow retrieve.
  • Buzzers - Proven fish catchers, this selection of buzzers will be sure to catch you more fish. Best fished on a floating line as a team of flies or with a booby on the point.
  • Grub Buzzers - This buzzer selection has been hand-picked by Craig Barr and have all proved to be superb fish catchers. Best fished on a floating line with a team of flies. A side wind is preferable to allow the wind to carry the flies around.
  • Grub Buzzers 12s - Buzzers vary in size and so should your offerings! Best fished on a floating line, often in a team of three, preferably with a side wind to swing the flies in an enticing arc.
  • Goldhead Buzzers - When the trout are fishing hard on the bottom on the buzzer pupae and the more traditional buzzers just can't get deep enough, then you need to be using these - a little change with often devastating results. Best fished on a floating line with a long leader.
  • Montana Nymphs - From fast sinking lines to floating lines, this fly will always catch fish. An excellent small water fly. Best fished on a floating line with a very slow retrieve.
  • Dry Flies - A superb selection of dry flies to match any eventuality. This selection has it all covered.
  • Fritz Goldheads - These great fish finding lures offer an all round selection of flies that will catch fish wherever you choose to fish. Best fished on intermediate lines with a slow retrieve at the start of the year and floating lines and often a quicker retrieve further into the season.
